Our dogs have been produced from elite hunting lines that have proven to be successful in the field, while maintaining amateur friendly trainability and the ability to be ideal family companions.
We prioritize health and genetic testing, doing our absolute best to breed healthy, well adjusted puppies that go on to live long and productive lives with their families.

A proven lineage of Upland and Hunting Retrievers, Finn is the quintessential Golden Retriever - loyal, dedicated and fun.
With a pedigree brimming with the top hunting retrievers in the sport, Tulla is talented, driven, and loving....not to mention gorgeous!
We are a small kennel, with limited breedings. Years of thoughtful planning and preparation go in to each litter in order to produce well bred puppies with unlimited potential.
About Us
The Britain Family of Britain Retrievers - Jared, Heidi & our kiddos live in North Central Texas in the Stephenville area. We've always had a Golden Retriever (or two) by our side and at the foot of our bed.
Though Jared had trained his previous Goldens to casually dove/duck hunt, it wasn't until Heidi put down a deposit for a puppy in 2020 that we discovered the world of Hunting Retrievers and Hunt Tests.
With the help of Nate Young with Young Ranch Kennels in Stephenville, Texas, Heidi & Finley made their debut at a hunt test in 2022 and have been hooked ever since!
Our journey began with a shared passion for field-bred Goldens and a commitment to raising dogs with integrity and heart. Our dogs do life with us - from hiking Texas State Parks to fishing the rivers of Colorado, from sleeping by our baby's crib to dinners at local restaurant patios. Our goal is to share that with you. Whether you want a partner for the duck blind, a jogging buddy, or the best family dog you could ask for - we hope to breed puppies that become your family !
Golden Versatility
Our dogs compete in Hunting Retriever and Upland Retriever Tests - as well as Dock Diving! In our down time they love family vacations, hiking, and patio dinners on the weekends.
Offspring & siblings of our dogs are hunting companions, trial dogs, therapy dogs, search & rescue partners, and some of the best family dogs you can find!
